While hosting a private dining party is never an easy task with so many aspects to consider, taking it out of your home and into The Lumber Exchange Event Center completes almost all of the work involved. Is this a small diner for your friends or family exclusively? Or some colossal dinner/cocktail party that will gather a large portion of Minneapolis and St. Paul? In both cases – we’ve got it covered.

Just as our event spaces are flexible and versatile, our in-house chef and catering staff can modify a menu to your event’s exact specification. From conceptualizing your menu to delivering every platter in delicious, delicate detail, the food at the Lumber Exchange Event Center is a sure thing.

Private Dining Rooms In Minneapolis

The Lumber Exchange Event Center has the necessary experience, resources, and spaces to help you create an amazing atmosphere for your private dinner party.

First, choose your space. If you want a dash of luxury and grandeur for your dinner party – we recommend our Fountain Room. With its impossibly high ceilings and elegant use of light, this will be a party worth remembering for years to come.

The Fountain Room can be an amazing solution if you are hosting a corporate dining party. This amazing space seats 250 guests for any dinner or accommodates up to 350 guests for any cocktail reception.

The next event space on our mind is the River Room. With a different atmosphere and decor, the River Room provides more comfort and intimacy. If your dinner party is simply flooding with guests and interesting ideas – we can book River room as an addition to the Fountain Room too.

If you want an amazing view of the famous Bob Dylan mural on Hennepin Avenue, our Dylan’s space is your perfect choice. Your guests will be inspired by the energy of the space and with the best view in town. It will be a great conversation starter indeed. Dylan’s event space can accommodate 150 guests for your dinner party!

Last, but certainly not least, is Sawyers on the 5th. Its rustic elegance will give you a feeling like your dinner party is happening in a whole different time period. Another major perk – it holds the best view of sunset in off of Minneapolis!
